HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulates the Royal Endurance Team

Madrid, May 14 (BNA): The Royal Endurance Team won today the 120 km race (general category and junior category) within the Spanish International Championship.


First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, congratulated the team on their performance.

“This victory comes from the achievements of the royal team in international and European forums,” he said, addressing the role of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for humanitarian work, youth affairs and the Royal Endurance Team. Captain.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulated the riders of the royal team, Salman Issa, Manal Fakhrawi and Ahmed Al-Thawadi, for obtaining the first three places, in addition to Abdullah Al-Ruwaie, the champion of the junior category.


His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad participated in the 160 km race, but his horse failed to pass the veterinary exam after the first stage of the race. He followed the team’s other riders, whom he pushed to achieve positive results in both races.

Salman Issa took the first place, recording 6 hours, 7 minutes and 41 seconds, followed by Manal Fakhrawi (6 hours, 7 minutes and 42 seconds) and Ahmed Al Thawadi (6 hours, 7 minutes and 46 seconds).

Abdullah Al-Ruwaie outperformed the other riders to rank first in the junior category, recording (6 hours, 59 minutes and 14 seconds). The royal team champions were honored at the end of the tournament.

The royal team members praised the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who pushed them to achieve positive results in the Spanish International Endurance Championship.


They also praised the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the various stages of the races, which enabled them to achieve an honorable performance.
