Government Procurement Requests worth BD1.7 Million discussed

Manama, June 15 (BNA) The CEO of the Information and e-Government Authority Muhammad Ali Al-Qaed held the second meeting of the third session of the Information and Communication Technology Governance Committee.


The meeting discussed purchase requests from government agencies, which are valued at about 1.7 million Bahraini dinars.


The Leader highlighted strategic government projects and purchase orders and discussed the taxi meter initiative in Bahrain, which aims to make taxi services more accessible to citizens, residents and visitors.


The committee reviewed the Information Management System (IMS) project for the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning that would simplify updating and managing data in test laboratories and improve their output, in line with the requirements of testing and calibration laboratories. (ISO 17025).



Review projects, policies, and other strategies and their performance. It also reviewed the implemented decisions from previous meetings.
