HM King’s message on World Press Freedom Day praised by Information Minister

Manama, May 3 (BNA) Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi praised the message of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, which falls on May 3rd.

Al-Rumaihi expressed his deepest congratulations to His Majesty the King on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, asking God Almighty to guide him and enable him to continue the Kingdom’s progressive march.

The minister stressed that the main annual royal message on World Press Freedom Day reflects His Majesty’s belief in freedom of opinion and the appreciation of press cadres.

He added that His Majesty King Hamad’s pride in the performance of the press and national media is an incentive to continue shouldering national responsibilities.

Al-Rumaihi expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King for the royal interest in the Kingdom’s press and media.

He pointed out that the directives of His Majesty the King contributed to increasing the achievements of the press and media institutions in the Kingdom, as they motivated them to achieve more successes, thus preserving their pioneering role, which made responsible freedom of expression one of its distinguishing features. The development process that the Kingdom enjoyed during the prosperous era of His Majesty the King.

The Minister of Information Affairs congratulated the press and media community in the Kingdom on the World Press Freedom Day, wishing the press and media institutions in the Kingdom every success in achieving more achievements.
