Manama, November 11 (BNA): Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and governing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), has signed an agreement with Gulf Business Machines (GBM) in Bahrain to establish the Aviation Cyber Security Operations Center. AV-CYSOC), which will develop and complement the existing airport security infrastructure, IT systems/operational systems and network infrastructure.
The agreement was signed at the Bahrain International Airshow by Mohammed Yousef Al-Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company, and Abdullah Ishaq, General Manager of GBM Bahrain.
With the support of GBM, BAC Airport proactively implements the necessary precautions to ensure that cyber risks to the airport remain under control and operations remain uninterrupted. Early detection, followed by a rapid and effective response, is essential in this ever-evolving landscape of threats.
The formation of AV-CYSOC will help the airport combat the growing cyber threats facing the aviation industry today and will provide the needed reassurance.
