Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs participates in roundtable debate on regional stability

New York, September 21 (BNA) Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa participated today in the round table meeting on stability and regional cooperation in the Middle East. The event was organized by the Kingdom of Norway in cooperation with the Atlantic Council on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.


The meeting aims to exchange views on the challenges facing the Middle East and shed light on opportunities to achieve security, stability and peace.


The Undersecretary for Political Affairs stressed the importance of achieving security and stability in the Middle East because of its strategic role in achieving global interests. He also stressed the need for concerted efforts to promote the values ​​of tolerance, coexistence, mutual respect and cooperation to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the region.


He concluded by denouncing terrorism and calling on the international community to combat its ideologies and its sources of funding.
