Foreign Minister takes part in conference on Libya

Tripoli, October 21 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his wishes for the ministerial conference success in the initiative to support stability in Libya. And His Majesty’s affirmation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for the tireless endeavors and efforts of the State of Libya to lay the foundations of security, stability and peace in all parts of Libya for the good of its brotherly people.

This came during his participation in the International Ministerial Conference for the Stabilization Initiative for Libya, which was held today in Tripoli, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity in the State of Libya, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the State of Libya, Dr. Naglaa Al-Mankoush, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Kuwait, and the Prime Minister co-chaired the conference sessions. He expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation for all its efforts to achieve a political settlement of the Libyan crisis that meets the aspirations of its honorable people for peace, stability, development and prosperity and ends the decade-long suffering.

Dr. Al-Zayani praised the Libyan government’s continued efforts to address a number of thorny issues, and affirmed its commitment to implementing the road map of the Political Dialogue Forum, the results of the Berlin 1 and Berlin 2 processes, and relevant international resolutions.

He also thanked the United Nations, the neighboring countries of Libya and the countries concerned with the Libyan crisis for their efforts that showed their keenness to restore security, peace and stability to this brotherly country.

He called for the continuation of this approach and full support for the stability of Libya, noting that the situation in sisterly Libya poses a great challenge to all parties, as it is going through a fateful stage, either moving it to a democratic transition. And lasting stability, prosperity and development, or lead it to a dark fate with known consequences and consequences that no one wants to happen.

The Foreign Minister said that the Libyan crisis in all its dimensions imposed political, security and economic challenges on this brotherly country, and increased the suffering of its honorable people, and that the time had come to reach a comprehensive political solution capable of ending the conflict. Preserving the sovereignty, independence and stability of Libya.

He added that the solution will lead to ending the presence of all foreign forces and mercenaries in Libyan territory, and holding presidential and parliamentary elections on the scheduled date, based on the outcomes of the first and second Berlin conferences, and security. Council Resolutions 2570 and 2571.

Dr. Al-Zayani called on the international community, the neighboring countries of Libya and the European countries on the other side of the Mediterranean to provide all support to the Libyan government to be able to confront the ongoing illegal flow of illegal immigrants who pose a threat not only to Libya but also to the countries neighboring Libya.
