Manama, December 2 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received today a delegation from Rotary International, headed by its Chairman Shekhar Mehta.
The Minister praised the role played by Rotary International and its contributions in the humanitarian, social and voluntary fields.
He praised the success of the Eighth Rotary International Conference for District 2452, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain this year under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The President of Rotary International valued the support provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain to volunteer and humanitarian work.
He also affirmed his aspiration to build on the constructive cooperation between Rotary International, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the concerned authorities, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Head of Organizations Sheikha Aisha bint Ahmed bin Saqr Al Khalifa, Governor of Rotary Region 2452 AD. Mazen Ahmed Al-Omran, and the former Rotary Governor Imad Abdul Rahman Al-Moayad and Nejad Khair Al-Din Al-Atassi.
