Bahrain chairs meeting with UN Undersecretary-General

Geneva, December 2 (BNA) The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Dr. Yousef Abdul Karim Bucheery, chaired the meeting of the permanent ambassadors of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths to review the humanitarian needs for 2022 and discuss developments in the region.

Griffiths indicated that the United Nations and its humanitarian partners are doing their best to help the most vulnerable groups, stressing the need to intensify international efforts to help save lives, alleviate suffering and enhance stability in affected areas around the world.
