HH Shaikh Abdullah commends Bahrain 1 team triumph

Gainesville, Florida, March 14 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, praised the strong start of the “Bahrain 1” team after its first place in the FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Series. by Type A Motorsports at Gainesville Raceway.


Justin Bond clocked 5.732 seconds at 250.74 mph in his Bahrain 1 Racing Camaro, defeating JR Gray in the final round in 54y Annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.


The event, which was powered by Type A Motorsports, was the first of 10 races during the 2023 season in the FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Type A Motorsports.


Bond also eliminated Dwayne Wolfe, Doug Winters and world champion Chris Thorne to reach the final round, posting reaction times of 0.016 or better over the first three rounds.


Bond followed it up with a stellar run in the final round to start his 2023 season on a high note.


His Highness Sheikh Abdullah affirmed that the strong start of the team confirms its serious determination to regain the championship title.


He added that the “Bahrain 1” team works in an organized and professional manner, which will have positive effects on the team this season and will confirm the keenness of the team’s management and its endeavor to achieve more achievements.


His Highness Sheikh Abdullah said that the local and international achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain 1 were built on the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
