Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa referred to the pivotal role played by the financial and banking sector in supporting development.
He stressed the importance the Kingdom attaches to continuing to develop the financial and banking sector to enhance Bahrain’s position as a financial center in the region and the world.
The minister said this during his meeting with Standard Chartered Bank Group Bill Winters, Chief Executive Officer, Regional Chief Executive Officer for Africa and the Middle East Sunil Kaushal, and Dr. Boutros Klink, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain.
The meeting was also attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Rasheed Mohammed Al-Maraj, and the CEO of the Economic Development Board, Khaled Humaidan.
