Manama, January 13 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani is proud of the important achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its foreign policy under the lofty directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa. In this regard, he said that His Majesty the King designated January 14 of each year to celebrate Bahraini diplomacy, which reflects the great and remarkable interest of His Majesty the King in the Bahraini diplomatic work and its leaders, which is a source of pride for all diplomats working at home and abroad.
Dr. Al-Zayani praised the great support that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the continuous support and care provided by His Highness.
He said that the ministry continues its effective diplomatic work to serve the interests of the Kingdom and its citizens, in implementation of the directives of His Majesty the King and in implementation of the work program of the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness. He said that this is in support of the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom for the benefit of the citizens, based on the principles and foundations of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s foreign policy, its goals and future directions, and the well-established values of Bahraini society, including the good. Al-Zayani added that the distinguished achievements of Bahraini diplomacy over the past fifty years contributed to the consolidation of friendship and cooperation relations with many countries of the world and the strengthening of the Kingdom’s position at the regional and international levels.
He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is proud that its foreign policy is characterized by wisdom, moderation, balance and flexibility, and is based on solid values and principles to spread and support peace and the values of goodness and love with various countries and peoples within the framework of international charters and laws.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all diplomats and administrative staff at the ministry’s headquarters and in diplomatic missions abroad, praising the good efforts they are making with all sincerity and dedication to perform the tasks and duties entrusted to them.
He described their continuous work as reflecting the giving of the Bahraini citizen who loves his country and is keen to protect its interests.
He stressed that the ministry will always be keen to achieve the royal directives of His Majesty the King, achieve the government’s esteemed goals, and strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom and the countries of the world.
He stressed that he will work to protect the higher interests of the Kingdom and consolidate its position and its regional and international role within the framework of what is stipulated in international charters and laws.
