Foreign Minister attends preparatory meeting ahead of Arab Summit in Algeria

Algeria, October 29 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani participated in the opening session of the Arab League Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers to prepare for the 31st Arab Summit to be held in Algeria under the chairmanship of. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, on November 1-2.


The meeting was chaired by Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.


The meeting discussed the topics that will be presented to the summit of leaders of Arab countries, and reviewed the draft resolutions that will be presented to the leaders, the draft resolutions presented to the Economic and Social Council, and the reports submitted to the summit, in addition to the report of the Council of Ministers. Secretary General of Joint Arab Action.


The ministers will also discuss Arab political issues, including the Palestinian issue, the situations in Yemen, Syria, Libya and Somalia, food security for Arab countries, the latest regional and international developments, and their repercussions on Arab national security.


The participating delegation included the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Algeria, Fouad Sadiq Al-Bahrana, the Director General of the Ministry’s Affairs, Ambassador Talal Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, and the Head of Arab Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Tarifi.
