BTEA launches tourism App

Manama, October 29 (BNA) The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority announced the launch of its new tourism application, which aims to assist tourists, citizens and residents in planning their trips and activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.


BTEA named the new guide “Bahrain” and launched it under the slogan “Your Ultimate Guide to Exploring Bahrain”. It can be easily downloaded from Google Play or the App Store.


This launch is part of the Bahrain Tourism and Insurance Authority (BTEA) efforts to ensure that Bahrain’s diverse tourism calendar and events are available for all to enjoy.


The app features popular tourist destinations, displays the entertainment on offer, as well as a list of restaurants and hotels.


In addition to providing the latest information on Bahrain’s tourism scene, the app includes a guide to restaurants, hotels, and places of interest.


The app also has an itinerary feature that helps the tourists to organize their vacation program according to their interests.


Furthermore, the app provides a platform for licensed Bahraini tour guides as it comes with a feature that allows tourists to contact tour guides and highlight their profiles.


This application is one of the main tools developed by the Bahrain Tourism Authority to encourage an increasing number of tourists to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain. Highlights sites of interest as well as recreational activities.


The timing of the launch of the application is important as we are entering what we expect to be a busy tourist season, driven by a variety of events such as the debut of the Bahrain World Show, Jewelery Arabia, Bahrain Grand Prix and Air Show, among many others.” CEO of BTEA.

Dr. Kaidi stated that this new application is the result of extensive work done by one of the specialized teams in the authority that aims to create an easy-to-use application, providing the maximum potential value to the user.


He also affirmed the authority’s commitment to continue improving the application by providing new features and content.


“We encourage the private sector and event organizers to work more closely with BTEA in order to integrate information and updates about activities and initiatives on the app. Our goal is for the app to become a fully integrated national tourism platform.” Dr. Kaidi concluded his speech.
