Foreign Affairs Minister meets Chinese counterpart

Beijing, Jan. 11 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met today in Wuxi with State Councilor and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to the President of China, and their wishes to the friendly Chinese people further development and prosperity.

Wang Yi asked the minister to convey his greetings to the leadership.

He referred to the strong historical relations between the two countries, stressing China’s keenness to further develop cooperation in all fields for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.

Dr. Al-Zayani highlighted the development of relations between the two countries.

He stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation to achieve common interests.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in various fields.

They reviewed the opportunities available to develop cooperation in the economic, commercial, investment and other fields.

The meeting dealt with the political and security developments in the region, the challenges facing their countries, in addition to issues of common interest at the regional and international levels.
