Riyadh, September 26 (BNA) The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy for Financial Affairs, Yousef Abdullah Hammoud, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the sixty-sixth meeting of the undersecretaries of the two ministries of finance in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in preparation for the 117th meeting of the Financial and Economic Council of Ministers. The preparatory meeting was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of the Assistant Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for Economic Affairs and Development and the undersecretaries of the ministries of finance in the member states.
The meeting shed light on ways to enhance joint cooperation, and reviewed a number of decisions related to the economic and financial field. The Council also discussed recommendations related to the initiatives of the Group of Twenty and other topics on the meeting’s agenda.
The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in the agreement on the system of linking payments between the GCC countries and the program to achieve economic unity among the GCC countries by 2025.
