Washington, October 15 (BNA) Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met with Standard Chartered Bank Chairman Jose Vinales and Regional Executive Director for Africa and the Middle East Sunil Kaushal.
The meeting was held in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain Rashid Mohammed Al-Maraj and the Minister of Sustainable Development Noor bint Ali Al-Khalif.
The Minister of Finance and National Economy held the meeting on the sidelines of his participation in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington, USA.
Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed the prominent and vital role of the financial and banking sector in promoting economic growth and creating more promising investment opportunities.
During the meeting, topics of common interest and the latest global economic developments were reviewed.
