Manama, February 24 (BNA) The Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa today received the Secretary-General of the World Customs Organization, Dr. Kunio Mikuriya.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Customs and President of the World Customs Organization.
The minister praised the efforts led by the World Customs Organization to develop customs work mechanisms in a way that contributes to promoting global trade, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance joint cooperation.
He stressed the importance of adopting the best customs practices to support vital sectors, economic development and global trade.
