Filipino Club Mabuhay Toastmasters welcomes hails 2022-2023 executive committee

Manama, Aug. 28 (BNA) The Filipino Club Mabuhai Toastmasters (FCMT) held its 14th inauguration of the new 2022-2023 Executive Committee during a special ceremony in Manama.

Guest of honor, Chargé d’Affairs (CDA) Anne Galondo-on-Louis from the Embassy of the Philippines in Manama, expressed her appreciation to the organization for the opportunity it offers for self-improvement and professional development for community members.

With the club’s motto, “Be new, be you, be ‘new you’,” CDA Louis compared it to a cocoon that served as another method of self-renewal and helping one learn new things and grow like a beautiful butterfly.

She also encouraged the group to support the activity by participating in the poetry writing and poster making competition organized by the Philippine Embassy in the framework of the celebration of the promotion of the Filipino national language in August.

The 2022-2023 Executive Committee installed by District 14 Administrator TM Syed Mahmoud, TM Liesel C Mercado, as President, TM Melanie S. Cruz as Vice President of Education, Jose Benito Jr., Vice President of Membership, and TM Arlene include Dr.. Detera as Vice President of Public Relations.

The secretary is T.M. Lhalaine Llorca, the treasurer is T.M. Melody R. Arquibel and the sergeant. @Arms-TM Elizabeth M.

TM Ruth Mirhan Orense, outgoing Club Vice President for Public Relations and a teacher at The Philippine School (Bahrain) for 15 years, spoke about the joy in her journey.

“It is also important to have a goal in life, and to achieve it is satisfying,” she said.

“Keeping joy in one’s heart is like having a bank account. We can withdraw from it in times of sadness and disappointment.”

In his speech, the club’s former president, José Benito Custudio Jr, emphasized that it is extremely important to have a strong support system to achieve one’s goal.

The number of three principles in life that must be followed. He said, “Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up every time they see you. Slowly is the fastest way to get to where we want to be. The top of one mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing.”

The ceremony was attended by OWWA Official Regina Manlapaz and Cultural Attaché Guymarie Mortell Ladrica from the Embassy of the Philippines.

The Filipino Club Mabuhay Toastmasters is a group of professionals who share commitments with a worthwhile goal – to develop communication and leadership skills while enjoying the atmosphere of fellowship.

It was founded by TM Alex Ginete, TM Julie Dizon and TM Willy Carpio who also served as Chairman of Chartered in 2009.
