Civil Defence Directorate, Supreme Council for the Environment hold meeting

Manama, Apr. 6 (BNA): The General Directorate of Civil Defense held a coordination meeting with the Supreme Council for Environments and discussed the requirements for modern buildings that use combustible cooling systems.

They affirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and residents in Bahrain, noting that flammable technologies in the fields of refrigeration and air conditioning are entering a new phase at the global level, as well as the Kingdom.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to update safety requirements for buildings that use refrigeration and air conditioning systems in accordance with international standards approved by the Civil Defense.

They mainly referred to the use of systems based on refrigerators (r290 R600a), stressing the future direction of using large-sized air conditioners that work with flammable refrigerants such as (imparet (R32), which requires updating requirements and strengthening cooperation to preserve lives and property.
