Export Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina sign MoUs to boost cooperation

Manama, March 1 (BNA) Export Bahrain signed two strategic memoranda of understanding with the Friendship and Business Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosna Bank International (BBI) to increase business facilities and provide basic and integrated elements. Supporting Bahrain-based companies to access European and global markets.


The agreements aim to enhance cooperation and solidify economic, technological and other resources between Bahrain-based companies and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as highlight and promote Made in Bahrain products and services among regional and international buyers.


Strategic partnerships will serve Bahrain’s exporters as a promotional tool and pathway with opportunities to promote and market their products and services to European markets as well as exchange knowledge, experience and market regulations between the two countries.


With the new agreements, the two parties plan to facilitate trade delegations to host B2B meetings, seminars, webinars, workshops and trade fairs across multiple sectors to support the promotion of Made in Bahrain products and services and facilitate their access in Europe and other global markets.

President of the Friendship and Business Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina Jawad Al-Hawaj said that they seek to create new horizons in terms of work, cooperation and common interests between the sectors of trade, industry, entrepreneurship and service providers.


“This agreement with Bahrain Export is a strategic partnership to develop these sectors and enhance trade facilities between the two countries in various fields between Bahrain-based companies and European buyers in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said.


Bosna Bank International VIP Business Club President Azra Colic said that Bosna Bank International aspires to contribute to an increase in the rate of business transactions between the two countries and to provide a gateway for businesses to expand across the region.


She said, “Therefore, I am pleased to sign this new strategic partnership with Export Bahrain, which will provide business development opportunities for Bosnia and Herzegovina, BIB, and their counterparts in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”


Export Bahrain facilitated local companies to go global and expand into international markets with exports worth more than $130 million with more than 56 different categories of products and services across various economic sectors.


Since its inception in November 2018, Export Bahrain has supported products and services manufactured in Bahrain to reach more than 57 markets across the GCC, Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
