Exhibition marking World Day against Trafficking opens

Manama, July 31 (BNA) A five-day exhibition was opened in the city center on the occasion of the International Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, which is celebrated annually on July 30.

Deputy Chief of Public Security Major General Dr. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa inaugurated the exhibition on behalf of Public Security Chief Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al-Hassan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Director General of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Criminal Evidence, the directives of the Ministry of Interior and members of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking.

The Kingdom of Bahrain maintained its first ranking for the fifth year in a row in recognition of its dedicated efforts in combating human trafficking.

The US State Department’s 2022 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report placed Bahrain in first place.
