‘EWA keen to provide the best electricity services’

Manama, May 7 (BNA): The Electricity and Water Authority Chairman, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, affirmed that the Electricity and Water Authority will continue to implement major strategic projects aimed at raising the capacity, efficiency, reliability and quality of electricity transmission and distribution networks. Enhancing safe operation and maintaining the stability of the Kingdom’s electrical system.


The head of the Electricity and Water Authority was speaking during his visit to the site of the interactive energy compensation project at the Riffa station to follow up on the progress of construction work.


It is being implemented by the Electricity and Water Authority, and the project, worth about 34 million Bahraini dinars, is expected to be inaugurated in the last quarter of this year.


Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed indicated that the project falls within the main plan of the Electricity and Water Authority to develop and modernize facilities connected to the electricity and water networks in the Kingdom in line with Bahrain’s economic vision 2030, to keep pace with the country’s economic growth and establish the necessary infrastructure within the highest levels capable of meeting the growing demand for electricity and water. For the purposes of urban, industrial, commercial and residential development and expansion, noting that the ultimate goal is to provide better services to citizens and residents.


The Chairman of the Electricity and Water Authority confirmed that this vital project represents a quantum leap in the quality of services provided with the aim of increasing the satisfaction of subscribers by providing safe, reliable and advanced electrical services.

He praised the level of quality in the projects, expressing his thanks to all workers for their efforts. He also stressed the need to comply with all occupational and environmental safety and health requirements during the implementation of the project to meet international quality standards.
