Education Ministry sets up School Follow-up Unit

Manama, March 3 (BNA): A follow-up unit in the Ministry of Education will start monitoring the performance of schools for the next academic year.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Jumaa, said that this step comes after the completion of the restructuring plan in the ministry, indicating that the Schools Affairs Department will be responsible for the unit.

The unit is expected to play a vital role in following up the implementation of the qualitative performance framework in education by preparing the necessary reports on the support provided to government schools in all educational regions.

The Ministry will rely on a qualified Bahraini team in order to enhance the performance of the educational sector and enhance quality practices.

Dr. Jumaa praised the team that played a decisive role in supervising the establishment of the Schools Performance Monitoring Unit.

He pointed out that the specialized specialists who undertake the follow-up were selected from more than 600 applicants.
