Manama, October 5 (BNA): The UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education (RCQE) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Bahraini Ministry of Education and the Saudi National Center for Professional and Educational Development, held a webinar on “Teacher Quality in a Changing World: Transformations and Challenges” and hopes.”
The symposium was held on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day under the auspices of the Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, and was attended by the Director General of the RCQE, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Al-Moadres and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi National Authority. The Professional and Educational Development Center, Dr. Badr bin Shuja’ Al-Harbi, in addition to experts and specialists from several local, regional and international bodies.
In his speech at the symposium, Dr. Al-Nuaimi praised and appreciated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa while presiding over the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The great role played by Bahraini teachers and their achievements.
He also praised the steps of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of education, thanks to the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The minister highlighted Bahrain’s outstanding achievements in the field of education thanks to the support of its leadership, citing the King Hamad Schools for the Future and Digital Empowerment Project, both of which contributed to ensuring the continuity of the educational process during the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He stressed that the development projects implemented by the Ministry of Education have won international fame for the Kingdom, as proven by international reports.
