Job description and summary
The ME Deals Learning & Development (L&D) leader is responsible for designing and delivering best-in-class learning solutions, which address our business purpose of deals.

The L&D Lead is responsible for the final delivery of training solutions and his/her work covers all aspects of the ADDIE cycle.

Financial

– Recommend budget to post L&D deals across the region
Manage the budget and reporting process in line with corporate strategy, global guidelines and internal staff needs
– Manage and control L&D expenses and hourly cost
Define new and cost-effective delivery models
Ensure that the L&D team delivers value for money, learning solutions on target, and on budget

Client

Acts as a trusted advisor for learning related issues
Manage and maintain strong relationships with regional and global counterparts/stakeholders
Supporting synergies within the business to ensure that our programs support the business in its future growth and encourage business across service lines
Liaise with People Leadership Team (PLT), HCBLs and L&D Leads to develop business skills programs that not only meet current business needs but also anticipate future needs so that we can better support our business growth
Liaise with PLT, HCBLs and L&D Leads to identify areas for future development initiatives

internal process

Manage and implement the Middle East learning strategy in line with corporate strategy, global guidelines and regional focus
Plans, selects, and leads the implementation of global learning programs to meet employee skills development needs
Explore, evaluate and build strong relationships with top external training vendors and certified trainers in line with internal needs
Engage in high-impact L&D projects with global interaction
Manage assessment needs analysis and utilize the findings to map relevant courses accordingly
– Report relevant KPIs to measure cycle effectiveness before and after participation, staff achievements and performance
– Review training course evaluations, objectives and achievements
Manage and implement innovative methods while developing learning activities, whether through facilitation, audio-visual materials, teacher guides, or venues
Identify and integrate best practices and lessons learned into program plans

Work on specific projects related to HR initiatives as assigned
Responsible for continuous professional development of self and junior team members
Technical development of team members
Support internal knowledge management best practices, creating communities of practice within the own team and across the broader functions
Act as a primary resource and liaise with other functional areas of the business, building cross-functional relationships as needed
Create a healthy work environment for employees in the team

education

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Administration
Professional accreditation in human resources is preferred

language

– Fluency in spoken and written English, fluency in Arabic is an advantage

Comprehensive experience

10+ years of experience including 7+ years of related experience
Significant experience in an international professional services environment, including an L&D job, is preferred

specific experience

Previous HR experience is an added advantage
Deep understanding of L&D processes, reporting and analysis

Ability to quickly understand key business challenges and strategic objectives and align learning and development strategy accordingly
Ability to collect and analyze complex business requirements and advise on optimal creative solutions from a learning perspective

Knowledge of learning methods and techniques
Knowledge of HR best practices and processes
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Excellent team building and relationship building capabilities
– Ability to keep highly confidential information
