Job purpose:

You will be responsible for designing and implementing Qatar’s pioneering business strategy for Deliveroo market entry, growth and expansion.

This role requires someone with a strong problem-solving approach and general business acumen. In this role, you will develop and lead a large and rapidly growing team, with a demonstrated will to win in a highly competitive market.

Main responsibilities:

Profit and loss ownership of our business in Qatar.
Identify and understand the primary drivers of market dynamics for the Qatari food industry and translate this knowledge into an actionable strategy for growth. Setting financial goals, setting goals and monitoring the performance of business activities.
Develop and implement commercial strategies in collaboration with the UAE regional leadership and the central team at the UK headquarters.
Lead and facilitate meetings with high profile F&B groups for new business, renegotiation and relationship management.
Act as a role model for people by displaying the right values ​​and behaviors to achieve the vision
Contribute to effective and collaborative ways of working among diverse teams and stakeholders (marketing, customer service, operations, finance, people, etc.) in a matrix environment.
Provide leadership on a day-to-day basis to an emerging team and develop that team into a high-performance unit with a strong sense of unity and a firm desire to win.
– Ensure the correct systems are up and running to acquire, enter and secure a wide range of restaurants/cyclists – and ensure consumer demand grows at a similar pace
Make smart decisions based on data and facts, and be resourceful about buying the right data points from our internal systems and external stakeholders
Public and external representation of Deliveroo in the Qatari market, in legal talks, public and regulatory relations

requirements:

High natural intellect and speed of reasoning to understand and dissect opportunities that are complex and often unclear or evolving
Proven track record of successfully managing teams in a fast-moving, consumer-facing and technology-led environment
Extensive personal experience in operational management, business development, national/international expansion, market growth, and market launch
– Proven track record of achieving goals and exceeding business expectations. Comfortable in stressful situations and tight deadlines
Deeply Analytical – Takes a data-driven approach to problem solving, with reference to valid metrics and numbers, to support decision making
– Experience mentoring and talent development to rapidly achieve growth targets – Helping Deliveroo consolidate its leadership position in the market
