‏BTEA offers free activities to celebrate World Tourism Day

Manama, September 26 (BNA) The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority announced that it will provide free activities to tourists, citizens and residents on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2022.


The initiative includes tours of the Manama Souq, boat trips, horse riding, rock climbing, handicraft workshops, and a number of water sports activities.


The aim of this initiative is to showcase Bahrain’s tourism offerings and encourage local tourism by inviting local residents to experience experiences they have never had before in Bahrain.


The Bahrain Tourism Authority has teamed up with private sector tourism organizations to offer these activities, highlighting the diversity of things to enjoy in Bahrain that caters to many interests ranging from sports and adventure to arts and culture.


The Bahrain Tourism and Travel Authority also launched free entertainment tours of tourist areas and commercial complexes such as Manama Souq, The Avenues Mall, Bahrain City Center, Seef Mall and Bahrain Fort for tourists and visitors on special buses, starting from September 27.


BTEA has partnered with hotels and other attractions that wish to participate in the initiative by giving its visitors and tourists free leisure bus tickets and alerting them to bus departure locations and schedule.


BTEA will provide tour guides to accompany passengers on tour buses and provide information about tourist sites. These buses will be in service from 10 am to 10 pm.


This activity fits with the authority’s keenness to provide a diverse and integrated package of entertainment options for tourists and visitors.
