BTEA: First ever water sports event at Bahrain Beaches Festival

Manama, July 27 (BNA) The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) organized a tour for local media, photographers and social media influencers to the Bahrain Beaches Festival at Plage Algeria.


Guests were treated to a variety of events, including water sports that were held for the first time in Bahrain.


Tour participants were introduced to the many diverse water sports the festival has to offer, including windsurfing, sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking.


BTEA provided sports activities under integrated services that feature coaching, equipment rental, equipment rental and other services.


During the evening, visitors learned more about the services that the Bahrain Beaches Festival offers to its nightly visitors, such as yoga sessions on the beach and the highly anticipated LED kayaking experience from 7-10pm.


The media tour also included part of the Bahrain Beaches Festival program that included live music performances, entertainment, kids’ activities, food trucks and more.


“This media tour of the Bahrain Beaches Festival is part of the Bahrain Tourism Authority’s keenness to promote the busy festival schedule, in the context of the pivotal role of the national press as a key partner in providing various tourism programs and events in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Mariam, Director of Marketing and Promotion at BTEA. She highlighted the popularity of the Bahrain Beaches Festival among tourists, locals and visitors, as she emphasized that the fact that the event was a success during its inaugural launch this year proves that the Bahrain Tourism and Travel Authority is on the right track in its efforts to activate the potential of Bahraini beaches as a major tourist attraction in the Kingdom.

“This achievement encourages the Tunisian Tourism Authority for Festivals to reorganize this festival every year to enhance the summer season in the Kingdom of Bahrain through a variety of activities and events that attract tourists and visitors,” she said.


Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sirafi inaugurated the Bahrain Beaches Festival on July 7 from Plage Al-Jazair, as well as Water Garden City Beach and Marassi Al Bahrain Beach, which will run until August 27.
