Manama, July 27 (BNA) The Labor Fund (Tamkeen) won the Women and Youth Support Initiatives Award for the year 2022.
The Global Business Outlook awarded the award to Tamkeen in recognition of the efforts made over the past years to support Bahraini women in various fields of economics and entrepreneurship.
The award also recognizes Tamkeen’s efforts to enhance the role of youth in the labor market by providing them with the necessary expertise, in order to achieve one of Tamkeen’s main objectives of making Bahraini citizens the first choice for employment.
Global Business Outlook is a British organization specialized in covering global economic activities and highlighting the efforts of financial and investment institutions in the public and private sectors around the world.
“This ranking of initiatives targeting women and youth within the Global Business Outlook Award recognizes Tamkeen’s efforts and achievements over the past 15 years in supporting the national economy,” said Maha Mafeez, Acting CEO of Tamkeen.
She stressed Tamkeen’s strategic direction to include a package of initiatives aimed at developing the performance of institutions and individuals, increasing their productivity, enhancing the desired economic impact, and contributing to achieving national priorities within the economic recovery plan.
