BRCS holds training courses for members

Manama, September 21 (BNA) The Bahrain Red Crescent Society is organizing training courses for its affiliates and volunteers in cooperation with the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

These courses come within the framework of the Bahrain Red Cross Society’s keenness to continue training Bahrainis in relief and humanitarian work.

The association is currently organizing a training course in first aid from September 21 to 23, in addition to a “communication skills” course for the association’s employees and committee chairmen, and a “qualification of volunteers” course.

Mubarak Al-Hadi, Secretary-General of the Somali Red Crescent Society, said that the training comes within the framework of their work to implement the joint training plan for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries that was developed with the International Committee of the Red Cross this year and in the wake of the good development and humanitarian goals that have been achieved. Developed for this plan, which will be implemented this year.

“This training is a continuation of a series of training courses that the Red Crescent started with the ICRC this year, where the rehabilitation course for volunteers has been completed.
