Manama, November 27 (BNA) The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) announced the launch of six educational academies for information technology and digital transformation as part of the institute’s efforts to support the government’s recent economic recovery strategy, which prioritized training. 10,000 Bahrainis and consider information technology as one of the most promising economic sectors.
The unveiling of these academies coincides with the relocation of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance to its new headquarters in Bahrain Bay, which is characterized by advanced infrastructure, multi-use halls and highly qualified educational and administrative cadres, making it the best in the region a prestigious educational and training center.
Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Head of the Center for Digital Transformation and Project Management at BIBF, said that the institute’s announcement of the launch of these six academies culminates in a long journey during which it was able to provide more than 600 training courses inside and outside the institute. Outside of Bahrain, it is benefited by many students, alumni, employees, directors, CEOs, members and chairmen of the board of directors.
“We have established partnerships with major global technology companies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and CompTIA in the areas of IT training, digital transformation, awareness workshops, specialized workshops, professional certification courses, and specialized courses based on practical application and innovation,” Al Naimi said.
Al Nuaimi added that the Institute’s Digital Transformation and Project Management Center creates and provides integrated training solutions that allow students to move from studying the basics to mastering advanced technical disciplines such as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
He said, “The six digital academies launched by the institute include Digital Transformation, XTech, Digital Banking, Data Science, Cyber Security, Transformation Technologies, and Information Technology, in addition to the Information Technology Fundamentals Academy,” noting that these academies provide specialized training. Tracks, making it easier for trainees to choose relevant courses based on their sector of work and the technological capabilities to be developed.
