BCCI, Municipalities’ Affairs Ministry discuss cooperation

Manama, September 16 (BNA) The President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samir Abdullah, received Municipal Affairs and Agriculture Affairs, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, in the presence of officials from both sides.


The Minister praised the initiatives of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry aimed at enhancing its communication with the business community, praising its role in ensuring the success of the private sector as a key partner in promoting the Kingdom’s economy and development process in line with the principles of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.


The two sides reviewed areas of joint cooperation and prospects for exchanging experiences, especially in the municipal, agricultural and food security fields.


The President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry stressed the importance of continuous cooperation and joint work between the two sides in line with the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in consolidating the role of the private sector in promoting the national economy.


He pointed to the importance of intensifying collective efforts to keep pace with the current market reality and invest in new opportunities to achieve the highest levels of productivity and enhance the global competitiveness of Bahraini private sector institutions and individuals in partnership with government agencies.


Samir Nass called for strengthening the role of the private sector to be the main driver of the economy in the Kingdom.


He also called for strengthening the partnership between the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs through the formation of joint committees to establish new projects and develop existing ones, stressing the importance of continued cooperation and joint coordination with the Ministry to achieve the desired goals.

He stressed the keenness of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry to advance the development process in a way that serves the economic development process in the Kingdom, achieves the aspirations of citizens and opens up more promising opportunities for them.
