Bahrain, UAE discuss sustainable energy, environment cooperation

Abu Dhabi, Jan. 18 (BNA): Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dinah, expressed his admiration for the distinguished level of the official opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.


He pointed out that this reflects the prestigious position that the sisterly country has reached in hosting international exhibitions and gatherings, praising the UAE’s efforts to support addressing outstanding issues in the fields of energy, environment, climate and sustainable development to reach a regional and international consensus on it.


Dr. Bin Dinah made these remarks during his meeting with the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al Mazrouei, on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.


During the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of sustainable energy and climate.


The Emirati minister welcomed the Bahraini minister of oil and environment, praising the Kingdom’s key role in supporting the high-rise issues related to addressing environmental, climate and sustainable energy challenges.


He praised Bahrain’s achievements in the fields of environment, climate and sustainable energy, wishing it further progress and prosperity.
