BIBF, UK’s CII collaborate to provide internationally recognised qualifications to insurance professionals

Manama, January 18 (BNA): The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has recently secured an agreement from the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute (CII, UK) to continue receiving previous education awards for their students. Renewal was obtained after the periodic calibration of CII’s vocational qualifications by BIBF to ensure continued matching of CII’s qualification modules with CII’s qualification modules.


BIBF currently offers 13 different CII accredited modules in both English and Arabic. These units range from introductory insurance courses to specialized technical units.


The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is the world’s largest professional body for insurance and financial planning and has educated more than 1 million students in 150 countries over the past 10 years. BIBF Insurance Graduates may use their qualifications as waivers of CII’s internationally recognized insurance qualifications.


The BIBF has worked with CII for many years and is the only training provider in the world to offer the CII Diploma in Insurance Qualification (to achieve Dip CII status) in Arabic.


On this occasion, Director of the BIBF, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh, expressed his pride in the renewal of the CII exemptions, saying: “This recognition by CII continues to add additional value to our internal qualifications and enable BIBF graduates to progress to CII.
