The winner of the Golden Ball scored two goals before the end of the first half to lead the Catalan club to its seventh title in the league. The victory gave Barcelona a 22-point lead over second-placed Real Sociedad six rounds ago.
About 5,000 fans attended the match at Barcelona’s Johan Cruyff Stadium, according to the Associated Press.
Atlético Madrid won two consecutive titles before the Barcelona hat-trick. Athletic Bilbao trail Barcelona by five titles in the Spanish League. Only recently, Real Madrid started participating in the Women’s League.
