Bahraini lawmaker re-elected APA Vice-President for fourth straight session

Antalya, Jan. 8 (BNA): The Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) re-elected Member of Parliament Ahmed Sabah Al-Salloum as Vice-President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly for the fourth consecutive term.


During the 13th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly held in the Turkish city of Antalya on January 8-10, MP Al-Salloum was re-elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee for Economic Affairs.


Representative Al-Salloum, one of the members of the Bahraini parliamentary delegation to the 13th plenary session of the APA, stated that his re-election to the two posts adds to the outstanding achievements of the legislative authority in the Kingdom, which, according to him, reflects the unwavering interest in him. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enable legislators and legislators to effectively contribute to the comprehensive development process.
