Bahraini-Chinese cooperation reviewed



Manama, Nov. 20 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, praised the level of cooperation between Bahrain and China and the progress made over the past 30 years since its establishment.

Sheikh Khalid received the Chinese government’s special envoy on the Middle East, Zhai Jun, who was on a visit to Bahrain to participate in the eighteenth Manama Dialogue.

The Deputy Prime Minister wished the Special Envoy a pleasant stay in Bahrain, and success in his participation in the Manama Dialogue, which aims to exchange views between high-level participants on security, strategic and economic challenges.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s aspiration for the success of the GCC-China summit and the Arab-Chinese summit, which Saudi Arabia will host next December.

Zhai Jun expressed his appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain for hosting the Manama Dialogue and his country’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Kingdom in various fields.

The meeting was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain, Anwar Habibullah.
