Alba holds Alignment and Synergy Workshop for its Management Team

Manama, Nov. 20 (BNA): The CEO of Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), Ali Al Baqali, a one-day Alignment and Synergy workshop for the Company’s Executive Directors, Managers and CEOs on Thursday, November 17.

The primary objective of the workshop was to discuss the dynamic situation of the market with its volatility, and how to achieve the production and safety targets for the year 2022 while preparing for the Alba target for the year 2023 given the increasing uncertainty and challenges in the market.

“With markets always changing, we have to be where the market is heading and learn how to trade market sentiment for Alba’s benefits,” said Al Baqali.

“We can’t change market sentiment; however, we can change the way we think we’ll be able to integrate, and that can only be done by building a sense of unity and dependence on each other as well as our collaboration as a management team.”

Al-Baqali’s keynote address focused on the importance of aligning the strategies of Alba’s business units to ensure a successful year despite the challenges.

Presentations were made about the group’s achievements for the current year and expectations for 2023 by Chief Operating Officer Dr. Abdullah Habib, Chief Financial Officer Brian, Marketing Director Khaled Abdel Latif, Energy Manager Amin Sultan, and Chief Supply Officer Walid Al Tamimi.

A special session on “Applied Psychology” was also held by well-known sports personality and Director of the Olympic Academy of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Dr. Nabil Taha Al-Shehab, on the cognitive, motivational, emotional and behavioral psychological factors that play a major role.
