Bahrain, UAE agree to boost tourism cooperation

Berlin, Mar. 9 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Serafi met with UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri, who visited Bahrain’s pavilion at the International Tourism Fair “ITB Berlin”.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of tourism and hospitality, exchange experiences, especially in the field of business and leisure tourism, and promote the two countries locally, regionally and globally as a unified tourist destination.

Al-Serafi expressed his pride in the relations between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates and their progress in the tourism sector, the growth and prosperity achieved by this sector and its contribution to the economic development of the two countries.

She noted the progress made by the UAE in the field of tourism and its increasing contribution to the country’s gross domestic product and the increase in the volume of investments in the tourism sector.

Al-Serafi stressed the ministry’s keenness to expand cooperation with the various authorities responsible for tourism in the country.
