Winners of GCC Research Competition honored

Manama, Mar. 9 (BNA): The Auditor General of the National Audit Office, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received the employees who won first place in the fifth Gulf Cooperation Council competition for research and studies in the region. In the field of auditing and accounting, he participated in IDI programs and obtained professional certificates.

The auditor emphasized the Bureau’s keenness to invest in human capital and national competencies, develop the capabilities of its employees and motivate them to obtain internationally recognized professional qualifications to raise performance levels and the quality of services provided.

He said that the Bureau conducted training and qualification programs throughout the year for its employees at all levels, and raised the technical, logistical and technological competencies of its employees, which qualified it to be in the ranks of the supreme institutions of financial control and accounting.

Sheikh Ahmed congratulated the employees on their achievements and wished them every success in their future.

He pointed out that there is a continuous and dynamic need to develop, update and introduce new programs that keep pace with the latest developments in the field of auditing, especially with regard to digital and technological aspects and digital transformation.

Maryam Ibrahim Talib and Sumaya Saleh Al-Meer, audit directors at the Center’s Administrative Audit Directorate, won the Gulf competition.

Mahmoud Hashem Mahmoud, Director of Administrative Audit, has a CFF (Certified Financial Forensics) qualification.

Abdurrahman Mohamed Valmarzi, Senior Auditor in the Performance Audit Department, has been awarded the IDI Certified Professional Performance Auditor Certificate, awarded by the INTSOAI Development Initiative.

The auditor encouraged all office staff to gain more experience, hone their skills, and benefit from the qualification and training programs provided by the office for their own benefit and for the benefit of the work of the office and the auditing profession in general.

The employees expressed their happiness with their achievements and the appreciation they received from the State Audit Bureau, which encouraged them to advance in their profession.
