Bahrain to mark World Health Day 

Manama, April 6 (BNA): The Kingdom joins the international community in celebrating World Health Day, which is celebrated around the world on April 7 of each year.

Coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization, this year’s World Health Day will provide an opportunity to highlight public health successes that have contributed to improving the quality of life over the past seven decades.

In this regard, the World Health Organization said that the event represents an opportunity to stimulate collective action to face health challenges and achieve health for all.

The World Health Organization affirmed that the right to health is a basic human right and must be guaranteed to all, stressing the need to invest in comprehensive health coverage by providing high-quality health services to individuals and communities so that they can take care of their health and safety. The health of their families, in addition to providing skilled health workers who provide integrated health care.

In this context, the Bahraini Ministry of Health affirmed that its plans to achieve health for all will continue, adding that it will continue to launch initiatives aimed at supporting global efforts to improve public health, within the framework of efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development goals.
