Manama, Jan. 6 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and Vice-Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bint Daij Al Khalifa, received today the Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament. David McAllister and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the head of the Caravan of Honor, MP Abdullah Khalifa Al Thawadi.
Dr. Sheikha Rana praised the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union, stressing the importance of these visits in promoting joint cooperation and achieving common interests.
She affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the European Union in the fields of higher education, academic research and the exchange of scientific expertise, in a way that contributes to advancing the comprehensive development process and benefiting both sides.
David McAllister expressed his happiness to visit the Kingdom and meet senior officials.
He praised the distinguished relations between Bahrain and the European Union, stressing the latter’s keenness to continue cooperation with the Kingdom at all levels, especially in the field of education.
The two sides discussed ways to develop cooperation between Bahrain and the European Union, and exchanged views on issues related to higher education and academic research.
