Bahrain-Brazil ties steadily expanding, President Bolsonaro says

Manama, November 16 (BNA) Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro affirmed the depth, strength and development of Bahraini-Brazilian relations, indicating that they are destined for further growth in various fields and at various levels.

President Bolsonaro said he was pleased and honored to be the first Brazilian president to visit Bahrain.

Speaking at the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, President Bolsonaro said, after the opening of the Brazilian Embassy in Bahrain, we look forward to strengthening cooperation on multiple levels, especially in light of the common base between the two countries.

His Highness, Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, and Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa. The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, President of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, senior officials and guests.

President Bolsonaro said that the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence chose Brazil in 2020 to announce a Memorandum of Understanding for South American countries, and that the opening of the Brazilian Embassy will enhance prospects for cooperation and partnership between Brazil and Bahrain.

During my visit to the Kingdom, a number of agreements were signed, among them the Agreement on Peaceful Coexistence and Freedom. He added that religious rights and human rights.

The President valued his visit to the Kingdom and praised the delegation accompanying him and all the officials who contributed to the success of the visit.

“We are peoples who seek to promote peaceful coexistence and harmony between all segments of society and its components. Perhaps this is one of the most important things that Brazil and Bahrain share together, and the near future will witness more features of cooperation between the two countries. We welcome everything that would deepen cooperation and participation for the benefit of the two friendly countries.”

Center Vice President Betsy Matheson said it was a great honor to welcome President Bolsonaro to Bahrain.

We thank you, Mr. President, for the sincere speech you gave during our National Day celebrations that were held in Brasilia and for the beautiful tribute you gave to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain, when the statue of Christ the Redeemer was. “She swims in the national flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain while our national anthem is being played,” she said in her statements.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency President Jair Bolsonaro are two inspiring leaders and that is why Brazil feels like a home for Bahrainis and we are happy to welcome our Brazilian brothers and sisters into their second home, the Kingdom of Bahrain.
