Bahrain Branch Nursery supports Dar Al Manar For Parents Care in Forever Green campaign

Manama, Jan. 19 (BNA): The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) has received 168 seedlings of fruit trees, shrubs and roses, which will be planted in Al-Manar Parental Care House in Isa Town.

Generous support was provided by the Bahrain branch nursery for the “Forever Green” campaign.

This participation by the nursery comes as part of the campaign’s efforts to increase the number of members of Bahraini society benefiting from afforestation, to achieve the goals of sustainable development and to promote a culture of preserving the environment.

The campaign also seeks to achieve the vision and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

The initiative harnesses all capabilities, in partnership with private and civil sector institutions, to contribute to achieving Bahrain’s environmental goals.

Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary General of Niyad, visited Dar Al-Manar for Parental Care, where she met with the Board of Directors and members.

The visit included a tour of the building, a brief explanation of the services provided by Dar Al-Manar for parental care, and the planting of an almond tree in the home garden to celebrate the generous contribution.

The owner of the nursery, Yousef Al-Haddad, affirmed his commitment to supporting all initiatives and campaigns that promote sustainable goals, especially those launched by NIAD.

“We have great confidence in Nyad’s keenness to follow the growth of the various seedlings,” al-Haddad said.
