Bahrain Bourse honors 2021-2022 TradeQuest top finalists

Manama, May 8 (BNA) under the auspices of the Central Bank of Bahrain and in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain. The TradeQuest Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday at the BIBF Ballroom where high school and university students participating in the TradeQuest 2021-2022 Program were honored at a ceremony in which top finalists received a total of BD30,000 cash reward.


The ceremony was attended by students, investment advisors, senior representatives of sponsoring organizations, and senior officials of the Ministry of Education.
During the ceremony, Al Maraj delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of the TradeQuest program in enriching students’ knowledge of the financial markets, and developing their skills to better prepare them for their future jobs.


He praised the efforts of the students participating in the program and thanked them for their commitment to the program during a challenging academic year. The Governor also praised the role of the Bahrain Stock Exchange and the financial institutions that supported the program and contributed to its success.


For his part, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, said: “Promoting investment awareness remains one of the main pillars of Bahrain Bourse’s strategy, with more than 6,800 participants participating in our various awareness programs in 2021.”


At Bahrain Bourse, we have designed a series of financial education and awareness programs to lay the foundation for the future leaders of the future and introduce the key concepts of savings and investment to the youth. Sheikha Khalifa added that our programs are designed to start in the classroom format at a very young age, with the Smart Investor Program now being part of the Ministry of Education’s curriculum for fourth grade students.

The 2021-2022 TradeQuest program includes a total of 21 school teams (including private and public schools) and 6 universities; The private schools are: Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School, Bahrain Bayan School, The British School of Bahrain, Britos International School, Al Hikma International School, Ibn Khaldoun National School, Al Naseem International School, New Millennium School, Al Noor International School and St. Christopher. The public schools are: Ahmad Al-Omran Secondary School for Boys, Al-Istiqlal Secondary School for Girls, Ghazi Al-Qusaibi Secondary School for Girls, Jidhafs Secondary School for Girls, Muharraq Secondary School for Boys, Al-Noor Secondary School for Girls, Omaima Bint Al-Numan.
