Bahrain Bourse, Bahrain Clear hold Breast Cancer Awareness session

Manama, November 1 (BNA) Bahrain Bourse and Bahrain Clear recently organized an awareness session for Bahrain Bourse employees and Bahrain Clear employees to celebrate breast cancer awareness in October.

The initiative of the public campaign to promote health and wellness was carried out by a consultant, family physician from Health Affairs Dr. Ghufran Ahmed Jassem.

A session was also presented to educate female employees on adopting health-supportive practices, and to address information about women’s health at various stages of life, in addition to educational tips to raise awareness of breast cancer and ways to prevent it.

The session discussed the causes of the disease, its symptoms, different treatment methods, as well as some actionable preventive measures that attendees can take as precautionary measures. The session also highlighted the importance of periodic breast cancer check-ups for early detection of breast cancer.

“We aim to ensure the quality of health for all our employees as well as ensure the well-being of our community members in general by spreading awareness about the importance of regular screening and early detection,” said Director of Administration and Human Resources Hamad Abu Al-Fath.

“This comes as part of our focus on nurturing our workforce, with a focus on social aspects and Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Wellbeing. We have also specifically targeted through this initiative to promote women’s health and wellness, by maximizing both physical health awareness mindset and to ensure our team members enjoy healthy lives all the time and are empowered to face and overcome any challenges flexibly.”

The session comes within the framework of Bahrain Bourse’s long-term commitment to leave a positive impact on the local community and its employees through various initiatives. Bahrain Bourse constantly strives to conduct a variety of activities to support the well-being of its employees.
