Manama on December 8 / BNA / Ministry of Foreign Affairs Head of the Afro-Asian Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fatima Abdullah Al-Daen participated in the meeting of the Senior Officials Committee of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
The meeting, which took place almost today, was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Shahrat Nuryshev.
Al Dhaen reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for making the International Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures (CICA) an international organization working to dedicate its efforts to promoting peace and combating terrorism regionally and internationally, noting that Bahrain believes that the interests and objectives of Asian countries are common.
CICA is an intergovernmental forum that aims to promote cooperation for peace, security and stability in Asia. Bahrain has been actively participating in CICA activities since it gained full membership in 2011.
