Manama, December 8 (BNA) The fourth edition of the Nasser bin Hamad Traditional Sports Season (inherited) concluded today with great interest.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for sponsoring this event.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the royal support and directives that contributed to the promotion of sports heritage to preserve the national identity of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Majesty the King authorized His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to attend the closing ceremony and distribute prizes to the winners of the various competitions.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa launched the book “Pearls of Bahrain” prepared by the Traditional Sports Committee of the British Olympic Committee under the supervision of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa also attended the traditional rowing races of 2000 meters and 3000 meters in the King’s Cup.
