Associate Director – Cost Management | Job in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by Gleeds | GulfTalent

As a lead member of the Gleeds management team, you will be responsible for representing the company as an ambassador.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Formulate and manage strategies to achieve business objectives.
Actively identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across business unit activities.
Ensure projects are managed in accordance with Gleeds (Governance and Controls) processes and procedures.
Agree on fees and charges for potential services with the Business Unit/District Chair Manager.
– Approval of appointments / scope of services. Ensure that appointments are in place before starting to provide the service.
Providing high quality services and deliverables that ensure that the services meet the requirements of our clients.
Review the scope of appointments on a monthly basis to ensure services are delivered on schedule
Managing and maintaining customer relationships (i.e. clients, business partners and other consultants). Ensure that a customer care plan is in place.
– Resolving customer complaints.
Ensure adequate resources are available to provide services in our projects, including managing resource conflict resolution (with fellow managers).
Lead and manage teams, including working with assistant managers in managing resources and workload. Ensure compliance with administrative requirements (assessments, training, schedules, etc.)
Managing employees and focusing on their retention and development.
– Develop and enhance the ability to manage Gleeds costs.
Briefing employees on relevant aspects of Glades business.
– Preparing bids for services.
– Managing the provision of services for profit.
Manage the commercial aspects of projects (eg scope of services/deliveries, billing and payments, debt management).
Work in harmony with other managers and assist the business unit manager/area head

Experience, knowledge and basic skills
Extensive experience in cost management after MRICS qualification
Detailed knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and cost planning techniques
Sound working knowledge of construction methods and materials
Excellent knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including bid and contract strategies
Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of construction contract management
A clear understanding of the legislation affecting construction contracts
The ability to motivate others (including providing support and encouragement)
Excellent communication skills: written or spoken
– Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
– Excellent problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, financial management and account skills
Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements easily
Network expert
Specialized knowledge of a specific industry sector (eg residential, hotel, commercial, retail, entertainment, educational, etc.)
Ability to prepare first class bids for services
Specialized in negotiating sufficient fees to complete services and achieve required profit levels
Demonstrable evidence of customer service delivery and customer relationship management
Demonstrable experience of timely interaction with clients and key stakeholders at the highest level
– Ability to work as part of a team and lead teams
