Al Hurr marks Labour Day

Manama, April 30 (BNA): Under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Free Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions organized today a celebration of International Labor Day (Labor Day), which is being celebrated. on May 1.

His Excellency the Minister of Labor, Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, conveyed, in a speech he delivered during the ceremony, the greetings and wishes of His Majesty the King to all workers in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He stressed the importance of the occasion as an appreciation to the workers for their enormous contributions in the field of work and production.

The minister also conveyed the congratulations of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his appreciation for the pivotal role of workers in achieving sustainable growth. He stressed the leadership’s keenness to continue efforts to ensure a stable and productive work environment and to preserve employment gains.

The minister said that the celebration of International Labor Day this year is in an atmosphere of optimism and hope, after the great success achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in implementing the economic recovery plan and the transition to the stage of sustainable development. He referred to the growth rates achieved by the economic, commercial and industrial sectors thanks to the supportive government policies and facilities.

The minister praised Bahrain’s vibrant economy and the stability of the labor market, stressing the key and influential role of Bahraini labor in the development process. He stressed the Kingdom’s diversified and competitive economy, which meets national aspirations for a more developed labor market and a greater role for the private sector as a catalyst for production.
